This is an overengineered notion template I used to keep track of my performance in past tests and in actual tests throughout my maths exams in WACE.

Intro

WACE math exams are written so that 1 mark in a question should take you about 1 minute. A 5 mark question for example should take you 5 minutes, and obviously if you have aced the topic you would need much less.

This template is designed around improving this metric. If your maths exams do not follow this, you can still use features such as tagging or evaluating performance in questions.

Quickstart

For starters, you will need to start timing each single question(or sub question if you want) if you haven’t already. You can use https://exam-timer-thing.vercel.app/ (i made) for something that doesn’t step in your way as much.

I hope the rest is pretty much self explanatory - you will only really need to use two pages, which are listed on the left. I will explain some concepts below.

Topics

The depth at which you break down your topics is up to you. If you practise very (i mean VERY) frequently I’d recommend finding patterns in questions and categorise those. If you just complete the standard amount of work and just see how you do, you can divide your topics into more generic ones(you can always refer to your syllabus/course outline). If you are just cramming for exams then you don’t need to divide topics at all - just write them as is(calculus, logs, functions, etc)

Rank

Based on your mark-per-minute ratio (your score), each topic is assigned a rank indicating how well you do. A score of 100 indicates you are getting marks at the correct speed. A score of 50 can mean that:

Your score is displayed next to your rank. If you have done this topic less than 5 times, it will be marked as questionable. Questions without a time written down(e.g. if you recorded marks from an actual test) will not count toward this.

Rating

In the tests page, you can give yourself a rating on your performance on each question that you did. It uses the chess(.com) notation. Hover over each item when you fill it out for more details.
